Uncategorized Hilton partnerships benefit loyalty members, employees with childrenMay 14, 2019/By:admin/No Comments HILTON IS GIVING members of its Hilton Honors loyalty program a lift, or, rather, a Lyft. The company is partnering with the ride-share giant to allow Hilton Honors members to collect points for catching a ride with Lyft.Another partnership with Milk Stork will allow moms working for Hilton to ship or carry breast milk home to their babies at no cost while traveling for work. The new Lyft partnership extends to all 89 million Hilton Honors members. It’s an effort to connect members with other brands they frequently use while traveling, said Hilton Honors Head Mark Weinstein.“We know ridesharing is important to our members and extends beyond getting to and from our hotels to a function they rely on nearly every day,” Weinstein said. “That intense focus on creating a better customer experience, prioritizing and pioneering innovation in travel and committing to leaving the world a better place than we found it by reducing our impact on the environment and increasing our commitment to our communities.”That focus on sustainability by the hotel company also was on display with the company’s announcement in March of its participation in the Clean the World Challenge in partnership with the Clean the World Foundation. As part of the challenge employees at Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton properties, along with the All Suites brands Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites will collect bars of soap left behind by guests to be recycled into bars of new soap in time for Global Handwashing Day on October 15. Clean the World will distribute the soap to communities in need.Apart from protecting the environment, however, Weinstein said the partnership with Lyft is an opportunity for Hilton’s most loyal guests.“Most immediately, members will get more value, and more value means more points towards free nights, more flexibility in spending and redeeming points, and more options and access to exclusive experiences,” he said. “This partnership allows us to reward members for riding with Lyft every day, not just when they travel. Down the road, you will see us working on how members can redeem their Hilton Honors Points for Lyft credits.”Hilton announced the partnership with Milk Stork shortly before Mother’s Day. The company touts it as an effort to encourage a family-friendly work environment and as a way to reduce employees’ stress while they are on the road for company business.“With this new partnership, Hilton is demonstrating its commitment to our working moms so they can both feed their babies and thrive in their careers,” said Katie Fallon, Hilton’s global head of corporate affairs. “As a mother of three who just recently came back from maternity leave, Milk Stork is a game changer, allowing me to travel while meeting my breastfeeding goals.”Hilton’s other family-friendly benefits include parental leave, adoption assistance, extended bereavement leave and paid time off and exclusive travel discounts to allow families to spend more time making memories together. Benefits apply to all team members at both hotel level and corporate offices.
